2026.10.20.4: Tuck can lend a hand now

Tuck can lend a hand now

Web app · 2026.10.20.4Your assistant has been reading along. Now, with your permission, it can help with the doing. On Pro, Tucker, and Founder, enable Write for a token in Settings → Hosted MCP and choose its writable personal brains. Capture a thought, add to one, move it, manage its todos, or tidy up tags and people. New personal brains are on the menu too.

Queued first, tucked away second

Writes wait for an unlocked device to seal them into your encrypted vault. Keep Tuck open in a visible web tab and allow about 20 seconds after unlocking, plus sync time. A queued result means “waiting to be tucked away,” not “lost in the cushions.” Your assistant can check the request’s status instead of sending it again.MCP still uses the separate readable copy you choose to publish. It does not receive your vault key or direct access to encrypted vault records. Write commands wait in a plaintext queue until your unlocked device applies and encrypts them. Tokens start read-only, and writable-brain choices do not narrow their access to the account’s published information.

Better context for the next step

Assistants can list todos, tags, and people, check their permissions, and follow recent changes. Todos now carry their repeat rules as well as their status and due dates. Date-only due searches follow your account time zone, which you can review in Account settings.Capture grammar and structured todos work together without doubling up matching titles. Explicit todo lines are open; inferred suggestions are proposed. The MCP tool reference explains dates, editing, and the full set of actions.

A little tap on the shoulder

Each token can have its own signed webhook destination for change notices. Notices contain event names, identifiers, and a time, without thought text. The webhook guide covers all eight events, millisecond timestamps, and signature verification. If you tried the earlier account-level webhook setting, save your destination on a token now.

Room for real-life habits

Log a habit completion when it happens, even outside its scheduled day or before its reminder. Rename habits, remove an older completion, and mention a new person in a completion note to add them to People. Habit reminders can use your account’s configured outbound reminder channel.

Smaller fixes, fewer loose ends

  • Archiving a thought dismisses its open and proposed todos and cancels their pending reminders. Restoring the thought does not reopen them automatically.
  • A late sync no longer sends the same unchanged SMS reminder again.
  • Shared brains unlock more reliably and avoid repeated uploads that do not change their contents.
  • You can delete a single selected person. Thought-linked todos have fewer redundant labels on the thought page.
  • Sync avoids unnecessary attachment reads and copying, keeping ordinary saves lighter.
Set up Hosted MCP and give your assistant something small to help with first. A plum-related errand is entirely acceptable.

2026.10.14.1: Tuck now speaks MCP!

Tuck now speaks MCP!

Web app · 2026.10.14.1Your thoughts have somewhere new to go in the conversation. On Pro, Tucker, and Founder, open Settings → Hosted MCP to connect a compatible AI assistant to the personal brains you choose to publish. MCP lets the assistant find and read that published information, so you can spend less time copying context into another chat.

You choose what leaves the vault

Turn on Shape for a personal brain to publish thought titles, short snippets, dates, tags, people names, and linked todo information. Full text is a separate choice. Shared brains cannot be published. This creates a readable hosted copy outside your encrypted vault. Tuck can read that copy, and your connected assistant can read it with your token. The assistant does not receive your vault key or direct access to your encrypted vault. The tools are read-only. They can list published brains, search thoughts, and read them. They cannot edit your thoughts or tick off your todos. Your ambitious assistant will have to leave the actual doing to you.The copy updates while Tuck is open and your web vault is unlocked. Your assistant can read the last published copy after you lock Tuck or close the laptop. Turn off Shape to delete that brain’s hosted copy, or revoke a token to stop access through it.

A little more context, a little less uploading

Published thoughts keep their tag and people names, links already saved in the thought, and useful labels for thoughts that only have an attachment.Publishing sends changes instead of repeatedly sending everything. Opening Tuck on another browser checks what is already there before uploading thought content.Linked todos include their status and due dates, and assistants can page through search results or ask for thoughts updated since a particular time. “What still needs doing?” now has a little more to work with.

A warmer welcome

New vaults start with four useful thoughts: a short tour, getting-started docs, your referral details, and a reminder to store your Recovery Kit somewhere safe. The pretend pitch deck and recurring starter chore have retired. Existing vaults keep their own contents.

A place to see what is happening

The website now has Blog & Roadmap, with Jer’s Corner, a Waiting / In progress / Done board, and an updates feed. Somewhere to follow along without keeping another tab permanently open. Unless that is your system. We understand.

Small fixes, fewer mysteries

  • People saves are more resilient. An unrelated unreadable record no longer blocks the person you are editing. If something still fails, Tuck explains what saved and gives you a support reference.
  • Starting fresh works again. Once a deleted account has been purged, its email address can be used for a new account. The existing 30-day deletion hold still applies.

2026.10.13.1: Todoist sync and a little less everyday friction

A little less back and forth

Web app · 2026.10.13.1

Todoist, meet Tuck

Connect Todoist in Settings → Integrations to keep a Todoist project in step with todos in one brain. Subtasks become checklist items, and completing work on either side updates the other.New open todos in that brain can go to Todoist. Todos you already had stay local unless you choose to include them. If both copies change, Tuck keeps yours and asks which version to use.Available on Pro, Tucker, and Founder. One less list to update after you have already done the thing.Connect Todoist.

Keep the version you meant to keep

When Pocket updates a recording you have edited in Tuck, choose Keep my version or Use Pocket’s version in Settings. Recording links now open the right Pocket page, and existing links are repaired when Pocket syncs.

Routines with a little more room

Habits now appear in columns. Type @ in a completion note to choose someone from People, with the note staying on the habit. The people roster has been removed.Streaks for weekly targets now count multiple completions on the same day correctly and give an unfinished week time to finish.

A few fewer things in your way

  • Open a thought straight from the Tucked confirmation.
  • Clear a todo’s due date from its calendar. Its scheduled reminder is cleared too.
  • Find Todos above Brains in the sidebar, even when Brains is collapsed.
  • Delete several People at once, and merge duplicates without the browser error.
  • Use the arrow on a thought’s brain chip to open that brain. The name still opens the move menu.
  • Load attached photos and audio when needed, with clearer progress and playback controls.
  • Read PDFs inside Tuck in Safari on iPhone and iPad without being sent to the print sheet. Reading a document should not require negotiating with a printer.
  • Long titles wrap on phones, thought actions stay within reach, and the people picker stays above the keyboard.
We also fixed garbled email text in Today, display names and themes being overwritten during sync, hard-to-see selections in the Night theme, and paid-plan and renewal-date displays.Shared-brain invitations now offer Accept and Decline before joining. Email capture handles more incoming message formats, and SMS capture keeps your brain and tag commands.

0.1.6: a date picker that stays with your clip

Pick a date. Keep your place.

Chrome Web Store · 0.1.6Choose a date for your clip without the calendar wandering outside the popup. The calendar now stays inside, with month arrows, Today, and Clear all within reach. This fixes the Vivaldi issue where clicking a day outside the popup closed it instead.Choosing Tuesday should not mean starting over. The Brain menu also lines up with the other capture fields. A small adjustment for a popup with a lot to fit in.Version 0.1.6 is now available from the Chrome Web Store. This announcement covers that store release; it does not announce a Firefox or Safari update.Page-title naming was already available through the web app, as noted on October 5.See how to clip a page.

2026.10.08.1: Habits, flexible repeats, and a tidier daily view

A little more room for your routines

Web app · 2026.10.08.1Turn on Habits in Settings → General when you want a rhythm and a completion log. Pick a schedule, add an optional note when you complete it, and keep those thoughts on the habit instead of in Everything. Habits are available on every plan. Their reminders are in-app only for now.Get started with Habits.

Todos that fit your week

  • Repeat on specific weekdays, every few days, weeks, or months, or with a custom schedule.
  • Type #tags in a todo name to attach them. Editing the name keeps the tag links in step.
  • Linked todos follow their thought’s brain. When deleting a thought, choose whether to delete its linked todos or keep them on their own.
  • The thought composer on Todos now waits behind Need to Tuck something away? Your keyboard shortcut still opens it, and hiding it keeps your draft.
See how todos work.

Your board, your people

Choose which brains appear in Kanban and drag their handles to reorder them. Hiding a column leaves the brain and its thoughts intact. This layout stays on the current device.Connect an address book through CardDAV in Settings → Calendars & mail to bring contacts into People. You can also turn off Add people from email if mail addresses are making your People list too busy. Meeting invitees can still be added.

Text it in, wherever your day takes you

SMS capture now accepts UK numbers and the other countries listed under Text in, reminders by email. You can text thoughts to Tuck, and your reminders arrive at your account email. Verification codes and replies to STOP, START, and HELP still use text. For +1 numbers, if our messaging provider rejects a send and your account has an email address, Tuck emails the same message instead, including verification codes. This fallback applies to a rejected send, not every text that fails to arrive.SMS remains included on Pro, Tucker, and Founder, with 200 segments per month shared by inbound captures and outbound reminders.

Small fixes you will notice

  • Rename a thought directly on a list card with a gray preview. Compact cards still open the thought when you click the title.
  • Use a thought card’s brain chip to open that brain or move the thought.
  • Linked items in Briefing and related lists are easier to spot. Themes have a separate Links color.
  • Briefing keeps its wider layout when your thought feed uses Stream.
  • Pocket imports now find action items that were being missed. Keep them as proposals, accept them as todos, or turn todo syncing off. You can also choose to attach audio files under 8 MB.
  • Pocket checks for new recordings while Tuck is unlocked and opens the recording directly from its link. Imports clean up unsupported chart and color markup in summaries. Larger history imports can resume after rate limiting, and recordings sort by the conversation date.
Connect Pocket or connect an address book.

Alpha development: share-sheet and vault-sync improvements

Preparing the next iPhone and iPad alpha

Alpha work now includes a readable share-sheet note field, a Tuck it button with a larger working tap area, visible save errors, and vault sync while the app is active. No new alpha build containing these changes has been distributed yet. This is a development update, not an App Store or TestFlight availability announcement.

A few more things off your mind

Pocket, meet Tuck

Connect your Pocket recordings in Settings → Integrations → Pocket. Finished summaries become thoughts, transcripts arrive as attachments, and action items become proposed todos for you to review. The audio stays in Pocket, with a link back when you need it.Choose which brain receives recordings, or bring in previously summarized recordings from the last 7, 30, or 90 days; or all of them. Set up your Pocket API key and webhook, then unlock Tuck to bring new recordings into your vault. Available on Pro, Tucker, and Founder plans. One less round of copying meeting notes into the place you actually keep meeting notes.

Bring your people with you

People → Import vCard now accepts .vcf address books. Tuck matches contacts by email or phone and merges them with existing people. Contacts you’ve deleted stay deleted, and importing the same address book again tells you when everyone is already saved.

Your calendars have colors now

Pick a preset or custom color for each calendar account in Settings. Time Map and the Briefing schedule use those colors to show where events came from, with a calendar legend in Time Map and account names when you have multiple calendars connected. Existing calendars get default colors automatically. We can’t make two meetings at once a good idea. We can make it clearer which calendar is responsible.

A little less friction

  • Clipped thoughts get better names. The web app now uses the page title when saving a browser clip, including clips of selected text, instead of naming it after the URL or the first line of the selection.
  • Today fits on your phone. Wide cards keep their spacing on both sides instead of wandering off the right edge. We have reminded them where the screen ends.
  • Time Map labels have room to breathe. Short events now keep their titles clear of rounded corners.
  • Integrations won’t stay stuck loading when the feature service is unreachable. Tuck falls back to your account’s plan to show available features.
  • A small homepage cleanup. We removed a repeated line about organizing thoughts. Saying it once turned out to be enough.
