# Capture by email

> Forward or send something to your personal Tuck address.

Every account gets a personal send-to address on the Tuck ingest domain.

Send or forward an email to that address and it lands in your Tuck ingest mailbox. An unlocked device pulls the message into your vault and then acknowledges it so the hosted ingest service can delete the full inbound body.

## Good uses for email capture

* Forward a receipt or confirmation you want to remember.
* BCC Tuck on something you want available as context later.
* Send yourself a thought from a device where you are not signed in to Tuck.

## What happens next

If the message looks actionable, Tuck can turn it into a todo. If it includes timing that Tuck recognizes, it can schedule the corresponding reminder.
